My Girls – Day 1

For my birthday back in August, Amy and Erin gave me a plane ticket to Denver so that Amy, Erin, Katie, and I could all have a special “just us girls” time together. Seeing the beautiful fall foliage was an added bonus. We left on Saturday morning and were a little concerned about what kind of traveler Katie was going to be…IMG_0921

but as you can see she “loves to fly and it shows!”

She was really a great little traveler. She is such a good-natured baby.

When we got to Denver around noon we went to Erin’s so that Katie and the mommy-to-be could rest. Of course, we really had no choice because it was Saturday and Erin’s passion for college football takes precedence over everything else. We’re lucky we got picked up at the airport. It was a good thing that we didn’t go on Texas/OU weekend or we would have had to hitchhike! Ha!

After everyone had their naps and there was a pause in the football action, we headed over to the Denver Botanical Gardens to their corn maze/pumpkin patch/haunted house.

Katie loved going running through the mini-maze.

She did get distracted one time… She decided maybe she needed to take HIS route through the maze.

(Pull up for #1 and push down for #2.) Colorado is all about “going green.” Erin said the straws were made from toilet paper rolls. Who knew?

Footie pjs are always good in the cold weather.
