Happy 4th of July!

I hope you are enjoying your holiday. We are waiting for our grandbabies (and their parents :-)) and their great-grandparents to arrive for swimming, hot dogs, apple pie, and all the trimmings.

The first time I ever heard Sandi Patti sing the Star Spangled Banner was at the bicentennial celebration. Tom Brokaw was at the celebration in New York harbor and he commented that he had never heard our national anthem sung like that. Thanks to Kimberley for recording it.

Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

The Lord nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples.

The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart from generation to generation.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people whom He has chosen for His own inheritance.

Psalm 33:3-12
