I am like Kelly at Kelly's Korner. I always look forward to the start of college football season. (I obviously, however, support a different team. Hook 'em!) It seems as if this year we have been especially anxious for the season to start. With a constant barrage of news about political decisions that undermine our country, its history and our way of life, greed, immorality, economic ups and downs, drought accompanied by extreme heat, illnesses of friends and loved ones, layoffs, etc., it is nice that on a Saturday evening you can escape to a place where 101,000 people proudly sing The Star Spangled Banner and The Eyes of Texas as the flags wave in the breeze. It makes it even better when we win!
